Miniera di manganese di Scortico, Fivizzano, Provincia di Massa-Carrara (Provincia di Massa e Carrara), Toscana, Italia


Old Mn mine, exploited in the period 1939-1955, located on the northern slope of Monte Ballerino, in the area I Grenzi-Canale dello Scortico at about 1100-1150 m a.s.l., in the beechwood along path no. 40. The mining area is characterised by the presence of some ruined buildings, three collapsed adits and an open pit lined with black, altered manganese minerals.
