Mined by Boliden Co. 1966 - 1997, main metals produced Cu, Zn, Pb, Au and Ag.
The mine was reopened in 2012 for mining of gold and tellurium. The new ore body is located close to the old sulfide ore so the old mine is used to gain easy access to the new ore body.

Habit: Massive in veins.
Colour: Pale pinkish.
Description: Andalusite was deposited in veins following a late stage brecciation. It can be found in masses.

Arsenopyrite
Formula: FeAsS
Description: The gold - telluride ore has very little sulfides but a few crystals up to 1 cm in length of arsenopyrite has been found. At the edges of the ore sulfides become more common as well as arsenopyrite. The old sulfide ore probably contained a lot arsenopyrite as it is commonly found in the mines in the area.
