Located 1 km ESE of Waldhambach and around 7 km north of Bad Bergzabern. The quarry is not open to public collecting.
NOTE: Pink hematite-bearing dolomite and calcite from this locality are frequently misidentified as rhodochrosite, which does not occur here. Fluorite has been erroneously reported as well.
