Abandoned quarry about 2 km north of Pineda de Mar, close to the C-32 highway from Barcelona to Tordera. Most of the quarry is located in the municipality of Tordera and only a little area of the south front is located in the municipality of Pineda de Mar. Recently in the quarry a water-treatman plant has been built and for this reason now is not possible to collect minerals

The geology of the site consists in a Paleozoic sequence of schists, slates and quartzites (Ordovician), black slates and graphite schists (Silurian) and limestones (Silurian-Devonian). The series was intruded by a granodiorite pluton during Hercynian orogeny (Upper Carboniferous – Lower Permian). Contact metamorphism produced a metasomatic skarn mineral assemblage.
