This area is generally around the point where Cove Creek crosses under Highway 51. Syenitic pegmatite and metamorphic rock outcrop in the bridge area and an area to the north and east in a small tributary to Cove Creek, called βThe Branchβ. The area around the highway right-of-way is generally open to collecting (in the road cut and Cove Creek bed), but the rest is on private property.
