B Reef Mine, B North Ore Body
A former Au-Ag mine located in the NEΒΌSWΒΌ sec. 22, T22N, R20E, WM, on the the west side of Squillchuck Creek.
It worked veins, veinlets, stockworks, and disseminated mineralization in breccia in an unnamed sandstone unit and the overlying Chumstick Formation. Orebodies extended from the surface to more than 900'.
This mine began production in the mid 1980's and ceased production in 1994.
The Cannon Mine was operated by a Joint Venture of Asamera Minerals (U.S.) Inc. and Breakwater Resources Ltd.
The Cannon Mine was serviced by both a vertical shaft and decline ramp.
The shaft was 18 feet in diameter and concrete lined to a depth of 620 feet.
Structure: Chiwakum Graben Bounded By Entiat And Leavenworth Faults. District Dominated By Postmineralization Fold And Thrust Belt Structures In Ore Body Dominated By Premineral Folds With Axes Trending Ne
Alteration: Silicification, Pyritization, K-Silicate Alteration, Carbonate Alteration, Argillization
Tectonics: Cascade Volcanic Arc
Deposit type: Epithermal vein, Comstock
Geology: Ore body lies between two deformed claystone beds.
