This locality is one of the ~40 β€œgenetically” sub-localities (*) (revealed and/or summarized in Cuchet and al. (2022)) of the giant alpine rare-earth mineralization - with its topographical extension of ~ 20x45 km, in Switzerland and Italy - situated into one precise level of gneiss of the Monte Leone nappe.

In this locality, the REE-mineralisation can be encountered in place just under the cliffs of the Cima delle Piodelle.
Some fallen mineralized boulders have been occasionally found until the terrasses downwards
