Cape Fiolent is situated at 8.5 km to the south of Balaklava. The Bajocian volcano-sedimentary sequence is composed of interbedding rock masses represented by lavas of sodium basalts, basaltic andesites, microdiabases, acidic tuffs with interlayers of rhyolites, felsites, andesitic dacites, andesites, andesites porphyrites and tuffs of basic composition.
