According to the Mineralienatlas website (see link below) the discovery area (several small pits) is approximately 8 km SW of Tangdan and 3 km S of Lanniping at an altitude of 3000 and 3500 m.

Between 1960 and 2000, 480,000 tonnes of copper were produced here, with the concentrates also containing silver and gold.

Veszelyite, Dongchuanite, Cuprodongchuanite etc. were found in sandstone fractures around Cu ore veins and clearly of supergene origin.

The origin Cu-Pb-Zn minerals here are mainly Galena, Covellite, and Tetrahedrite Group minerals.
