The Jian forsterite jade deposit crops out over an area of approximately 4455.0 m2 (∼66.0 m long and 67.5 m wide). These jade orebodies are mainly distributed near the contact zone between marble of the Ji’an group and migmatitic gneiss, and occur as approximately elongated bodies along the N-S direction.
The jade deposit is mainly blocky with secondary layers visible on the surface and yellow-green rock inside, and varying degrees of serpentinization have occurred. There are pegmatite veins interspersed in the jade deposit, and a variety of minerals, such as tourmaline, mica, and tremolite, are developed between the contact zone of the pegmatite and the jade ore body.
