Åvesland 4 (Einerkilen 1), Åvesland, Evje og Hornnes, Agder, Norge
A granite pegmatite mined for feldspar and later uraninite located NW of Ødegårdsvann in the Evje area. It was originally mined for feldspar and produced about 1500 tons.
In 1950-51 the pegmatite was mined for uranium, but the uranium content of the ore was much lower as expected.
Additionally, Norway managed to buy uranium from the Netherlands, so there was no further need for mining.
All the buildings of the mine have been destroyed, and the only thing that remains are some concrete fundaments.
