The Linglong camp contains six large and a number of smaller gold deposits, with a combined reserve of more than 500 t Au, within an area of about 75 km2. They occur along the northern part of the Zhaoping fault and are all part of one single gold system. They are located in the NW part of the Jiaodong peninsula, that belongs to the outer ring of the Circum-Pacific belt and a reactivated Archean craton.
