Locality type:
The Kennedy Basin is a medium Mesozoic sag basin in north-central Nebraska and south-central South Dakota. It is bordered on the southwest by the Chadron Arch, on the southeast by the Siouxana Arch, and by ill-defined structural saddles on the northeast and northwest.
