This area lies near the contact of a Devonian granite intruding Cambrian ultramafic, mafic and sedimentary rocks. The resulting hornfels and altered rocks contain some unusual assemblages including some remobilised nickel mineralisation. The adjacent granite contains sporadic tin mineralisation, and quartz and tourmaline clots.
