A quarry in the 'Bunte Serie' series of metamorphic rocks (biotite- and hornblende gneisses, calc silicate rocks, marbles). Rare pegmatite veins in the western part of the quarry produced schorl/tourmaline, beryl, garnet and cordierite (see also the different locality 'Pegmatite outcrops, Eibenstein').
Located 800 m NE of Eibenstein an der Thaya.

Owned by the Hengl Company (note that this company also owns other quarries - in granite and marble - in the Waldviertel region.)
