The Catogne is 2598 m high, Swiss coordinates 574Β΄620 / 100Β΄350.

Le Catogne is a mountain on the extreme north-eastern edge of the Mont Blanc massif, overlooking Champex in the Swiss canton of Valais. Some sources consider this summit as being within the Pennine Alps.

Woodtli et al. (1987): "On the north-western slope of the Catogne, an area enriched in tungsten, bismuth, zinc and nickel is probably related to rhyolites lying between the Hercynian granite and the Mesozoic cover."
