Yanderyarra was formed in 1964 and is overseen by the Mugarinya Community Association.

Yandearra and Yandeearra appear to be incorrect spellings found on sources.

Old maps list the community as Yandeyarra, but the locals prefer it to be called Mugarinya Indigenous reserve. Permission needed to visit any of the sites listed under this heading. About 100 kilometres south of Port Hedland, and 20 kilometres west of the Great Northern Highway.
