About Britholite Group
A group in the Apatite Supergroup which includes hexagonal and pseudo-hexagonal silicates with partially ordered M1 and M2 cations (Pasero et al 2010). The minerals of the britholite group are phosphorous -bearing silicates with apatite type structure and shows a complexity both chemical and structurally. Minerals in this group are among the most abundant and important REE-bearing minerals.
