A lot of quarries are situated in the Luserna Valley in different municipalities.

The most important are:

- Seccarezze 2, 3, 4 and 6 in the municipality of Luserna San Giovanni (Torino);

- Pian del Torno and Bonetto del Prete quarries in the municipality of Rorà (Torino);

- Seccarezze 9 and Galiverga quarries in the municipality of Bagnolo Piemonte (Cuneo).

About 90 working quarries mine an excellent grey-green leucogranitic orthogneiss, commercially known as “Pietra di Luserna”.
