Calingasta (also known as Villa Calingasta) is an Argentine town, located in the east centre of the homonymous department, in the southwest province of San Juan.

Located on the left bank of the RΓ­o de los Patos, near the source of the San Juan River, Calingasta is the nucleus of an agricultural, mining and tourist area par excellence of this province.
