More than 1,000 eclogites have been found within the Sulu ultrahigh-pressure metamorphic terrane in Donghai, Ganyu and Xinyi counties. The smaller ones are from several centimeters to a few meters across, the larger ones have outcrop areas of a few square kilometers.
