Alteration: Hydrothermal, Dolomitization And Recrystallization Of Country Rock; Quartz Monzonite Is Kaolinized. Strong Supergene Leaching

Tectonics: Basin And Range

Commodity: Anomalous radioactivity noted in limonite lenses surrounded by chrysocolla halos. Platinum-group metals are found in plumbojarosite. It has been speculated the sperrylite is present, but it has never been observed. Pipelike masses of cellular quartz impregnated with chalcopyrite and pyrite contained Au, Pt, Pd. Additional unnamed ti minerals also reported present

Deposit: All the ore was restricted to a single continuous oreshoot along northwest or hanging wall side of northeast-trending fault zone, exposed on the 100 ft level As elliptical pipes, 25 ft diameter. This record has bveen revised to include information from record numbers w001563 and m045353, which have been deleted.

Deposit type: Polymetallic replacement

Development: Pge discovered in 1914 by h.k. Riddall. Previous owner boss gold mining co.

Geology: Sill lies 1500 ft northeast of mine. Black to greenish talcy material contained the richest values. Zoning of deposit shows PGE at core. Ti ore body is located along minor fault separating base of monte cristo formation from valentine member of sultan limestone. Small amount of rutile and octahedrite found in orebody but not in wall rocks.
