Andenne is a Belgian city and municipality located in the Walloon province of Namur. The total area is 86.17 km².

The municipality, and the central city, extend on both sides of the river Meuse.

The municipality consists of the following districts: Andenne, Bonneville, Coutisse, Landenne, Maizeret, Namêche, Sclayn, Seilles, Thon-Samson, and Vezin.

Description: "According to Leckebusch et al. (1974), the colours of the Seilles fluorite are caused by F-centres. They occupy an anionic vacancy and are composed either of two electrons and one foreign trivalent cation (blue and green fluorites), or of one electron, one foreign cation and two oxygens (violet fluorite). The foreign cation would be a rare earth. Trace elements in the Seilles fluorites are Ba, Sr, Y, Ce, La, and Mg (Smith & Hirst, 1974)." (Hatert et al., 2002)
