Layered dunite-troctolite-gabbro massif in the northeastern Lake Baikal Region some 26.0 Γ— 3.5 km2 in size. Famous deposit of blue diopside in skarn xenoliths.
Despite its Late Riphean age, the Yoko-Dovyrensky Massif has not been metamorphosed significantly, so most of its intrusive rocks are unaltered, preserving both their igneous textures and original mineralogy. The typical succession of contact rocks and overlying cumulates, composing the layered series of the Yoko-Dovyrensky Massif, has been described in the central part of the intrusion, along the combined Bolshoi–Tsentralnyi cross section.
