Mining for baryte and fluorite, active 1952-1986.

In the Middle Ages, a Ruprecht mine was active in the area of the later Gottesehre mine.

A mineral/mining museum was opened in 2001 in Dachsberg-Urberg.

A small mining trail was established in 2002.
