Description: The yellow/tan carbonate with a curved rhombohedral habit that occurs in cavities in feldspar at this locality, and is associated with pyrite and rutile in many of the posted photos, was initially visually identified as dolomite, but SEM-EDS analysis (Fe>>Mg>Mn) shows that it is ankerite. Light pink curved crystals (as seen in photo 73389) may be dolomite, but have not yet been analyzed. (P. Cristofono)
